Ryan Jack may have played his final game for Rangers after Philippe Clement revealed he is suffering with a long-term calf problem.

The Scotland international has struggled with injury throughout his career, and has been limited to 209 appearances over seven seasons at the club with just 21 coming this season across all competitions.

Ahead of the club’s trip to Dens Park on Wednesday night (10 April), manager Clement revealed the central midfielder will once again be absent from the squad due to injury and admitted the club are looking for solutions to bring him back.

However, with the 32-year-old out of contract at the end of the season there is no every chance that Jack will never get to don the famous blue jersey ever again.

“Ryan Jack we are looking at other solutions to get him back,” Clement said during his presser.

But the title race is in a precarious position and there is still the chance of a domestic treble looming, so the manager won’t be handing out any charity minutes to any members of the squad.

There are six players out of contract at the end of the season, and while the manager is reportedly unhappy at the situation he won’t be handing out new contracts just for the sake of it.

There was some shock among fans when Jack was given a new contract last summer, but people understood that he was coming off the back of a good campaign and experience was needed.

But now that isn’t the case, and it seems highly likely that Jack will never get to play for Rangers again.
