Wolves Insist On “Potential” Loan Move, Arsenal To Sign Agreement

Published

With the business end of the summer transfer window coming into view, one Arsenal ace will be hoping that a potential loan move to Wolves comes to fruition.

Much of the talk at the Gunners over the past few weeks has been about landing Riccardo Calafiori, and potentially bringing on board Spanish European Championship winner, Mikel Merino.

There hasn’t been an awful lot of other business, in or out, done by the North Londoners, with David Raya’s loan from Brentford being made permanent, and Emile Smith Rowe being the headline exit.

That lack of movement may be troubling Arsenal supporters, though it would evidence a feeling at the club that they’re perfectly happy with the squad in the main, one of two tweaks notwithstanding.

Wolves want Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale

It’s abundantly clear that the Spaniard is Mikel Arteta’s preferred choice between the posts, so if Ramsey wants to have any chance whatsoever of resurrecting his career at both club and international level, a move makes sense.

According to The Athletic (subscription required), Wolves have now made an offer to the Gunners for Ramsey’s services.

The Midlands-based outfit are willing to take the player on loan in 2024/25 with an option to buy next summer.
