Rory McIlroy angrily tossed his 3 wood golf club into the water in disgust as he let his frustrations boil over after a tough day on the green.
The Northern Irishman has been far from looking his best this week in Colorado at the BWM Championship, and lashed out in frustration after hitting his tee shot wide right on the 17th.
Not happy with the swing from the off, McIlroy’s continued to follow his shot, only to witness it drift way right and onto the rough.
Unable to contain his composure, the 35-year-old lost his cool for a minute, chucking his golf club into the body of water right in front of him, forcing a shocked silence from the crowd and a splash in the water.
The four-time major champion although still clearly annoyed dejectedly walked down to the bank of the water to collect his golf club out of the water.

For a brief moment it looked like things were about to go from bad to worse as when he was coming back up from collecting his driver, he almost slipped back down.
But thankfully he recovered in time to pass the recovered golf club to his caddy before walking off to play his shot in the rough.
McIlroy has had a disappointed showing this week as before his wayward shot on the 17th he bogeyed his par-3 to take him back to 1-under following the 16th hole.
However the Co. Down man did manage to recover ever so slightly as he did par on the 17th and the 18th to record a 71.
The Northern Irishman now finds himself 10 shots behind the leader, Australian Adam Scott and has a lot of work to do today if he is to claw back a victory.
