hat was a quick break. Two weeks after the Tour Championship, the PGA Tour is back in action for the first of eight fall events that will help determine playing status for 2025.

This week it’s a new sponsor at a familiar golf course, as the Procore Championship is at Silverado Resort’s North Course. The total purse is $6 million with the winner taking home $1.08 million for a victory.

There are six players in the field who do not have to worry about their status for next year. Sahith Theegala, Wyndham Clark, Max Homa, Tom Hoge, Corey Conners and Eric Cole fit that bill.

As for how status and priority works, these eight fall events will determine Nos. 50-125 in rankings. Those who finish in the top 10 positions, or Nos. 51-60 will be eligible for the first two signature events of next year. Although Nos. 51-70 before the start of this week have clinched eligibility for next year, they are competing to get into the top 10 spots mentioned above.
