Tottenham Hotspur With A Great Moved To End The Decision Of £60m
Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord is currently seen to be more likely to join Tottenham Hotspur than West Ham United in the near future.
In an interview with GIVEMESPORT, journalist Dean Jones clarified that Gimenez would find a move to Tottenham more alluring.
Jones shared that Gimenez is now becoming accustomed to Champions League football which could prove an issue when moving to either West Ham or Fulham.
Therefore the journalist said that Tottenham were considered favourites over West Ham to land £60m Gimenez.
Jones said: “Santiago Gimenez is causing all sorts of fuss at the moment, and a lot of recruitment teams across the Premier League are tracking his situation.
“From what I have been able to gather so far, a move to Tottenham would be a lot more plausible than a move to West Ham or Fulham because this is a player that is already used to the Champions League and feels he has a place at the very top of the game.
And despite this encouragement, Jones did also confirm that Feyernoord would prefer to start talks once the season was over.
Of course, Tottenham have coped rather well without an obvious striker under Ange Postecoglou so far this season.
Before the season began, Richarlison appeared to be a lock for the part, but Son Heung-Min is currently playing a strong prominent role.
Given Danny Ings’ and Michail Antonio’s current form problems, Jarrod Bowen might be better served playing in the center of the striker position.
Mohammed Kudus’s presence in East London at the moment has to be the main plus.
The Ghanaian international, who is still settling in, always seemed like a very interesting addition.
And even though players for West Ham and Tottenham are starting to show promise, both teams would appear better off with a “superstar” striker who is now scoring goals in a fashion similar to Gimenez.
Naturally, Spurs are playing Chelsea tonight in a pivotal match, and it appears that Postecoglou has one surprising selection in store.
