Work in progress’ to find new club for forest star player

Earlier on Friday, we covered some claims from Germany that Galatasaray had made an offer for Nottingham Forest’s Orel Mangala.

The midfielder, who was a stalwart under Steve Cooper, appears to have lost his place in the starting XI since the arrival of Nuno Espírito Santo, which is why talk of an exit is rife.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri now brings his information to the table, revealing that the Nottingham Forest and Belgium midfielder ‘has been offered’ to various clubs, including Juventus and Napoli.

Both Italian clubs are seeking new midfielders in January, and they have noted down his availability by placing him on their shortlist.

The ‘appreciate’ his profile, and in view of his current situation at Nottingham Forest, there could be manoeuvre for some sort of January deal.

There is ‘work in progress’ to find the player a new team this winter, and while it appears unlikely that either Serie A side would be able to afford a full transfer in the coming weeks, perhaps a loan could suit all parties.

Prior to the arrival of Nottingham Forest’s new manager, Mangala had started all but one of their Premier League games.
