The 24-year-old is currently on international duty with Norway alongside Premier League favourites Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard.

It’s been quite the introduction to the English top flight for Strand Larsen, who signed for Wolves this summer on an initial loan from Celta Vigo.

The striker opened his account at Molineux with a goal in Wolves’ 6-2 defeat to Chelsea, with the forward recently opening up on his time in the Midlands so far.

Jorgen Strand Larsen praises Wolves teammate Matheus Cunha

Strand Larsen admitted he struggled against Nottingham Forest last time out, as Wolves battled for a point against Nuno Santo’s side.

It was a difficult game for the 24-year-old, who was well marshalled by Forest’s defence however, one player has been making the adaptation period easier for the Norwegian.

The Wolves striker shared his delight at playing alongside Matheus Cunha, explaining what he loves most about the Brazilian, via Express and Star.

“He’s the type of player who always wants to play you in, so he’s brilliant. The midfielders we have also win a lot of balls.”

When referring to the draw at the City Ground, Strand Larsen said, “In a normal type of game I think Cunha would be even more on the ball, and would be even more threatening in behind.

“So, I think that we can create a really good relationship and I’m looking forward to coming back.”

The forward continued to comment on Cunha’s influence and how the Brazil international makes it easy for the pair to combine in the final third.

“He understands. If I go in the opposite movement, he understands how a striker moves.

“I am really pleased to play with him and for sure, as you saw in the Chelsea game, we had a lot of connections already.”

Strand Larsen will be eager to keep the goals coming for Wolves

After seeing Strand Larsen’s reaction to scoring at Molineux against Chelsea, it’s clear to see just how much the goal meant to the forward.

Gary O’Neil spent the summer searching for a target man to bolster Wolves’ options in attack, making his wishes come true by acquiring the former LaLiga star.

Now that Strand Larsen is off the mark in the Premier League, there will be hope that the goals will continue to flow, with the player fitting into O’Neil’s system like a glove.

After the international break comes a battle against Newcastle United, where the striker will seek his second goal.
