Wolves in search for Pedro Neto replacement

Published

on

We had reported that Chelsea had struck an agreement for Wolves winger Pedro Neto and the Portuguese ace was confirmed by the Blues over the weekend.

Neto had originally attracted interest from Newcastle United earlier in the summer but the Portuguese winger decided that Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea was the best place for his development.

Wolves had already lost Max Kilman to West Ham earlier in the summer and the Black Country side will now have to look for a Neto replacement but HITC understands they have landed on a name.

Sources have told HITC that Wolves have included Brentford’s Yoanne Wissa on their list of targets as a possible replacement for Neto.

Wolves boss Gary O’Neil acknowledged to Sky Sports that he was eager for Wolves to bring in more Premier League experience, a result of their other additions since the end of 2023-24 possessing none.

Now, sources have told HITC they like Wissa from Brentford and crucially, Thomas Frank’s side would be open to the sale of Wissa.

Part of the reason why Brentford would be open to the sale of Wissa is due to the business the London club have done this summer.
