Why Tom Cannon is not in Leicester City’s new 25-man squad
Leicester City’s updated squad after the January transfer window has been confirmed by the EFL.
The Foxes endured a frustrating winter transfer window, with a deal to sign Enzo Maresca’s top target Stefano Sensi falling through on deadline day. They also lost Cesare Casadei, who was recalled from his loan at the King Power Stadium by Chelsea.
Casadei’s departure is one of two changes made to the Foxes’ 25-man squad named at the start of the season, with Daniel Iversen also not being included having made a loan move to Championship club Stoke City. It means Maresca has only named a 23-man squad, supplemented by 30 Under-21 players, for the rest of the campaign as City chase promotion back to the Premier League.
Summer signing from Everton Tom Cannon has not been named in City’s main 25-man squad as he is listed among the club’s Under-21 players.
