Birmingham City make George Hall transfer plan after double snub

Birmingham City are set to loan George Hall out before the end of the transfer window, Chris Davies has confirmed.

Hall has struggled for minutes under Davies during pre-season and has been omitted from Blues’ first two match day squads of the campaign. The 20-year-old was left out of a 22-man squad that travelled to The Valley to face Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Davies made eight changes to his line-up but there was still no place for Hall among the substitutes. Highly-rated Romelle Donovan and under-21s captain Josh Home travelled to London but didn’t make the cut.

Hall suffered multiple hamstring injuries last season and only played 133 minutes of league football. The midfielder didn’t start a game in the Championship, making just nine appearances across all competitions
