‘We did it our way’ – Hull City boss makes bravery call as leaders Leicester City are frustrated
Old warhorse Jamie Vardy scored a brace for Leicester City as the Sky Bet Championship leaders twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at Hull City.
Fabio Carvalho opened the scoring on 16 minutes, but Vardy equalised from the spot soon after when Jean Michael Seri was adjudged to have upended Abdul Fatawu.
A finely balanced second half swung the way of the hosts on 61 minutes when Annas Zaroury’s lovely left-footed hit arrowed into the bottom-right corner, but Hull’s celebrations lasted just two minutes before Vardy struck again for Leicester City.
But far from being frustrated at failing to hold out for a win – and a league double after beating Leicester at the King Power earlier in the season – Hull boss Liam Rosenior instead reflected on the “fearlessness and bravery” of his team.
