Carlos Corberan unhappy with EFL scheduling after West Brom’s win at Hull

Concerned boss Carlos Corberan revealed a fear for his Albion squad’s health after tight scheduling caused a “risk” for players.

The Baggies earned an important 2-1 victory at Hull to end an eight-match winless run on Sunday lunchtime but Corberan was unhappy the Championship clash came just 66 hours after Thursday’s draw against Burnley.

Albion are patched-up as it is, specifically in defence where any depth has been wrecked by injuries to Kyle Bartley, Semi Ajayi, Paddy McNair and Gianluca Frabotta. He added that three of his remaining defenders Callum Styles, Torbjorn Heggem and Mason Holgate played on at breaking point.
