Celtic Players Ibrox

Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda have returned to training at Lennoxtown this week. Both players were given extra time off following their international duties at the end of last season.

With the USA tour approaching, this development is a positive boost for the team. The squad is set to fly out next week, and having Hatate and Maeda back in training allows them crucial preparation time.

Hatate and Maeda are expected to be included in the squad for Wednesday’s match against Queen’s Park. If they do feature, it will mark their first game back with the team since their international commitments and holiday break. Their last competitive appearance for Celtic was in the Hampden Scottish Cup final.

Reo only managed 16 games for Celtic last season due to injury and will be hoping now to stay fit and contribute more throughout the season. Daizen had a top season under Brendan Rodgers, his goal against Rangers after 21 seconds at Ibrox was a particular highlight as was his cutback for Lundstram’s winner at Celtic Park.

All pre-season games will be broadcast live on Celtic TV for subscribers, ensuring fans won’t miss any of the action. The bhoys will be due back in Glasgow at the end of July to prepare for their league opener against Kilmarnock. At Celtic Park, where all four stands will be open as normal.
