Tottenham’s Unsung Hero: Romero Reaches Century

Published

on

Cristian Romero racked up his 100th Spurs appearance on Saturday afternoon as we ran out 4-0 winners over Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Signed from Atalanta in 2021, Cristian has been very much a regular in the side ever since and has become a key component in the side under Ange Postecoglou.

Appointed as one of our vice captains alongside James Maddison in 2023/24, the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner has gone from strength to strength with his added responsibilities.

Now 26-years-old, the defender has continued to grow in a Spurs shirt and produced one of his best performances to date as he marked his centurion milestone on Saturday – a display which earned him the Player of the Match award!

Resolute at the back, the centre-back was central to the win, putting in an all action display in N17. Topping almost every different statistic across the team, Cuti also opened his goalscoring account for the season – his seventh goal in the top flight.
