Tottenham XI vs Chelsea: Confirmed, prediction for Premier League game today

Ben Davies and Destiny Udogie might miss Tottenham’s London derby against Chelsea tonight.

Spurs’ victory over Fulham two weeks ago resulted in Davies being substituted off the field at halftime due to an ankle injury. Since then, he has been unable to practice. Meanwhile, teammate left-back Udogie was still dealing with a muscular ailment that he received during the game.

Ivan Perisic, who can play at left-back, is sidelined long-term, so Emerson Royal will deputise if neither Davies nor Udogie is fit to play. Udogie was reportedly able to train over the weekend to boost his chances of featuring tonight.

Ange Postecoglou has a decision to make in his front three, with Brennan Johnson pushing to start ahead of Richarlison on the left after a lively cameo from the bench at Selhurst Park. Johnson set up Heung-min Son’s goal and could make his second Spurs start against the Blues, his first coming against Arsenal.

The rest of Postecoglou’s side picks itself, with the head coach thought to have no fresh injury concerns in the squad.

Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon remain sidelined long-term, but Rodrigo Bentancur will be hoping for more minutes after making his return from an ACL injury against Palace.

Predicted Tottenham XI (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Kulusevski, Johnson, Son

Injured: Solomon, Sessegnon, Perisic

Doubts: Udogie, Davies

Time and date: 8pm GMT on Monday November 6, 2023

Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
