Tottenham has reached an agreement with Antonio Nusa

Tottenham are working hard to seal a £25million January move for Club Brugge wonderkid Antonio Nusa, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed Spurs are proposing a deal which would see the 18-year-old bought permanently and then loaned straight back to Brugge for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign.

Football Insider first revealed Tottenham’s interest in Nusa in November – and Ange Postecoglou’s side have now come forward with a proposal to strike a deal before the 1 February deadline.

The Belgian club are looking to maximise Nusa’s value and turned down a bid from Chelsea for the youngster last summer.

Spurs are now in pole position to complete the deal in the final 10 days of the January window after overnight talks.

Nusa has impressed onlookers in Belgium and is very highly rated in the country’s Pro League – as well as in his native Norway, where he is already a full international.

The winger, who primarily plays on the left, has notched three goals and three assists in 26 games so far in the 2023-24 campaign.

Nusa only signed a contract extension running until June 2027 last year.

It is believed Brugge are keen to keep him at the club until the summer as they vie for glory in the Europa Conference League this term.

He has racked up 62 games for the club since joining from Stabaek in 2021, scoring six goals.

The teenager has also already turned out four times for Norway, scoring one and assisting four.

Tottenham are keen to add attacking reinforcements in the coming months and are targeting players under the age of 24.

Postecoglou’s side sit fifth in the Premier League after drawing 2-2 against Man United last time out (14 January).
