Taiwo Awoniyi sends three-word message to 20-year-old Forest gem
Taiwo Awoniyi has sent a message to Brandon Aguilera after his Nottingham Forest cameo against Blackpool.
The Nigerian posted the comment on Instagram.
So, what did Awoniyi send to Aguilera after he stepped off the bench for Forest in the FA Cup? Let’s take a closer look…
What Awoniyi said to Aguilera after Forest beat Blackpool
Fortunately for Forest, Awoniyi has not been spotted in training and a return from his groin surgery looks to be on the horizon.
In the short term, Forest have some other injuries and the African Cup of Nations to contend with.
That has opened a bit of a door for Aguilera and he offered Forest fans a glimpse of what he was capable of last night.
After the game last night, the 20-year-old took to Instagram to speak of his pride at playing for Forest.
Awoniyi sent him a message that simply said, ‘Yes my bro’, and featured several emojis in congratulations.
Aguilera enjoyed a bright cameo during the night for Forest and threw himself into challenges despite challenging conditions.
The youngster was only on the pitch for 34 minutes but that didn’t stop him from making an impact.
More to come from Aguilera at the City Ground
The 20-year-old can only be judged on what he did against the opponents he faced but this was a positive outing.
Aguilera came on in a wide position for Forest and showed flashes of the quality that he undoubtedly possesses.
Despite his tender years, the player has already featured at a World Cup and it’s clear that he’s got some talent.
With Morgan Gibbs-White nursing an injury problem, perhaps Aguilera will keep his place in the squad at Brentford on Saturday.
Aguilera is learning all of the time and with Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo giving everyone a clean slate, he will hope to feature more prominently.
