Tottenham Hotspur’s upcoming fixture is crucial, as the club is set to encounter the defending champions, Manchester City, in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Spurs’ head coach Ange Postecoglou has been gearing up the team for a key showdown, and in preparation, he has summoned academy goalkeeper Luca Gunter to participate in first-team training.

The 18-year-old Tottenham U21 goalkeeper was spotted participating in training with the senior team this week.

With various players either sidelined due to injuries or away on national team duties, Postecoglou is making efforts to maximize the current potential of the squad by incorporating youth talents.

In a recent training video shared by the club on SpursPlay, the 18-year-old Gunter can be seen training alongside the first-team keepers Guglielmo Vicario and Fraser Forster.

While the English goalkeeper has seen limited action this season, featuring in only three Premier League 2 games, he has consistently guarded the goal for England U19 in the UEFA Euro U19 Championship Qualifiers.

While the youngster needs to earn his debut for the Lilywhites, training alongside experienced players like Guglielmo Vicario can undoubtedly provide valuable exposure.

The Italian goalkeeper can share his experience with Gunter, which may help him adapt to the elite level’s competitiveness.
