Novak Djokovic has announced that he would be coached by his brother Marko during the Monte Carlo Masters. He famously hired arch-rival Andy Murray for the Australian Open in January, with the intention of keeping the Scot on board until the end of the clay court season. However, Djokovic emphasised that Murray had always planned to miss the Masters 1000 tournament in Monaco.
In Murray’s absence, Marko will take over as coach for Djokovic, who is aiming for his 100th ATP title. Marko Djokovic, 33, was an ex-pro in his own right, but he couldn’t equal his older brother’s spectacular success. Marko played for Serbia’s Davis Cup team against Croatia in 2010.
