Rival boss makes ‘devastating’ Leeds United verdict
Plymouth Argyle boss Ian Foster insists he is proud of the way his side restricted Leeds United in their 2-0 defeat at Home Park, but admitted his side were too ‘passive’ against their high-flying opponents.
Daniel Farke’s side reclaime second place in the Championship with yet another three points, their second on the road this week, to set up a mouthwatering clash with league leaders Leicester City on Friday night. Third-placed Southampton play their game in hand against Hull City on Tuesday night.
It’s the fourth time this season Leeds have faced Plymouth, with only the FA Cup 1-1 draw at Elland Road ending in anything but a victory for Whites. And while Foster was pleased with his side’s efforts, and acknowledgedd Leeds were an ‘unbelievable’ team.
“I am proud of the players and the way they stuck to the gameplan,” he said. “We have limited an unbelievable team in this division to two shots on target.
