REVEALED! Another Leeds Star Agitating To Leave, But Club is Insisting On Stay

Patience again looks like it will be the key to Leeds United’s transfer window.

In both of the 49ers’ windows in charge of Leeds, the bulk of the business has not come until late on and it would be fair to say it has been a slow start to this summer in terms of incomings.

But it is not just Leeds who may have to be patient in the coming weeks, but also the players who are reportedly keen to leave Elland Road.

Leeds have already lost 13 players since the start of the window but that figure could quite easily exceed 20 if reports are to be believed.

Junior Firpo and Rasmus Kristensen are among those who are said to have agreed personal terms with other clubs, while Wilfried Gnonto’s interest in a move to Everton has once again resurfaced.

New update shared on future of Rasmus Kristensen at Leeds

The message from behind-the-scenes at Leeds is that exits will now only be done on their terms following Archie Gray’s £40 million move to Tottenham.

Gray’s sale significantly eased Leeds’ PSR concerns and so that stance is even likely to be taken on those who are keen to leave.

Kristensen is someone where it would be beneficial to all parties for him to move on, despite the ongoing uncertainty surrounding whether Daniel Farke would bring him back.

That does not feel like it will happen now, though, amid interest from Eintracht Frankfurt, who Kristensen is reportedly close to reaching an agreement on personal terms with.

However, according to Hessenschau, Kristensen may have to be patient despite his desire to leave, because the two clubs have still yet to agree on the formula of a deal, which could take a number of days.

Leeds are said to prefer a permanent transfer with an asking price of £12.6 million having initially been suggested, though this latest report suggests it is a bit lower than that at £8.5 million.

Frankfurt on the other hand, would prefer a loan deal, which is the most likely scenario at this stage. But if that is to happen, a compromise would need to be reached, so that either an option or obligation-to-buy is included.

Kristensen has already rejected one option to leave Leeds

Clearly all Kristensen‘s focus right now is on a move to Frankfurt, but not just because of his reluctance to return to Leeds.

Kristensen is said to have turned down the chance to return to his native homeland of Denmark, with FC Midtjylland showing an interest.

The £10 million signing in 2022 is even said to have met with Midtjylland over a potential move, the club in which he came through the ranks and clocked up 82 senior outings before moving to Ajax.

However, having met and even been spotted with Midtjylland’s director of football Claus Steinlein, he rejected their advances, as he holds out for Frankfurt.

Fabrizio Romano has dropped a new update on the future of French ace Martin Terrier who is closing in on a move to German champions Bayer Leverkusen, and it has ramifications for Leeds United.

Two years ago, Leeds were actually linked with a move for Rennes star Terrier. But a move didn’t happen, despite Jesse Marsch spending plenty of cash that summer after selling Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.

Fast forward two years, and Terrier is set for a big move. After four years at Glen Kamara’s new club, and 75 goals and assists in 141 Rennes appearances, Terrier is set to leave and join Xabi Alonso’s champions.

Widely-respected journalist Romano says Terrier is closing in on a move to Bayer Leverkusen for £20m, with a medical expected today. It sees the 27-year-old leave French football for the first time in his career.

Why Martin Terrier move could impact Leeds United this summer

Rennes are incredibly active this summer. After a slightly disappointing 11th-placed finish last term, they are looking to make waves in the window in a bid to strengthen a push for European football next term.

They have sold Enzo Le Fee to Roma, Terrier is set for Leverkusen and Desire Doue is said to be a target for PSG. Kamara has been signed as a replacement for Le Fee, and they will splash their incoming cash.

Rennes are targeting a move for Summerville this summer, with the news emerging of their interest in the midst of Kamara’s move to France. It was believed that Doue’s potential exit would see Rennes move.

What Summerville thinks of a move to Glen Kamara’s Rennes

But the exit of Terrier at Rennes could now force the French club’s hand. They have cash to spend after taking in north of £40m on Terrier and Le Fee, and that could be double should Doue leave the club.

Summerville is being targeted by Rennes as a possible addition and now with Terrier gone and Doue likely to follow him as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe at PSG, it is likely they make a move this summer.

It could be then that Romano’s latest update surrounding Terrier’s move to Leverkusen is a sign that Leeds should brace themselves for an offer. Summerville is said to be open to joining Kamara’s new side.

Leeds United have already lost 13 players so far this summer and another could be about to follow after reaching an agreement on personal terms.

The Whites have been extremely good at shifting some of their unwanted players in recent weeks but aside from Rasmus Kristensen, it is their key men now coming into the focus of other teams.

Kristensen is another who has verbally agreed personal terms to exit Elland Road, with the most likely scenario at this stage another loan, this time to Eintracht Frankfurt.

He had been due to return for pre-season before tomorrow’s trip to Harrogate Town, though it remains to be seen if the Denmark international has been granted extra time to secure his move.

Wilfried Gnonto, Junior Firpo and Crysencio Summerville are among the other players seemingly in talks over an Elland Road exit.
