Rangers plan to accept offer for attacker with deal until 2025
Rangers could sanction the departure of Tom Lawrence next summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking to the new edition of Football Insider’s Insider Track Podcast, transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the 30-year-old could be sold with Philippe Clement keen to shape the squad in his image.
Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that the manager is eager to lower the age of his squad and recruit young high-potential assets in future windows.
Lawrence penned a three-year deal with an option to extend for a further year back in the summer of 2022 from Derby County, meaning the Gers could make pure profit on the free signing.

The forward has made just 26 appearances in all competitions, with an Achilles injury forcing him to the sidelines for the majority of last season.
The Wales international has scored three goals and provided four assists during his spell at Ibrox.
Rangers brought in young prospects in the January transfer window, most notably Oscar Cortes and Mohamed Diomande, which is expected to be the club’s transfer strategy for the foreseeable future.
The club also look set to lose 31-year-old Borna Barisic, with Football Insider revealing (15 February) that he is ready to quit the club this summer when his contract expires.
Rangers sit level on points and goal difference with league leaders Celtic after their 3-1 win against Ross County on Wednesday (14 February).
They are next set to face St Johnstone away on Sunday afternoon (18 February).
