Rangers look at striker as he trials at Manchester United – report
Rangers have taken a look at 17-year-old forward Mason Cotcher, who has been on trial at Manchester United over the past week.
That is according to The Mail, with the newspaper reporting on its website on Monday (28 January) that the teenager has been training with different clubs to secure his next contract.
The publication added that Premier League clubs Brighton and Arsenal have also looked at the former Sunderland youngster.
New Ibrox forward?
It has been an interesting winter transfer window so far for Rangers, in what is Philippe Clement’s first chance to bring new players to Ibrox, and indeed get rid of any of his current group.
But the days are now numbered for the man in the dugout to make any major changes in both directions, with the deadline rapidly approaching.
The final third at Rangers has witnessed a lot of change in recent times, with Michael Beale bringing Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima, Danilo and Cyriel Dessers to the club last summer.
Their arrivals came after the exits of Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent, with the new recruits having had varying degrees of success at Ibrox so far.
Cotcher would add to the pack if he was brought to the Scottish side this month, although given his age and lack of experience, it may be a while before Clement would introduce him into the first team setup.
