players look surprise at what Radu Dragusin did in training
Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison seemed surprised by the strength of Radu Dragusin as the Romanian took part in his first training session yesterday.
Spurs completed a deal to sign the 21-year-old defender earlier this week. He is viewed by many as a terrific signing, and he seems to have made his mark behind the scenes at Tottenham already.
Richarlison looks shocked after seeing Radu Dragusin’s strength in Tottenham training
Tottenham had to work hard in their pursuit of Radu Dragusin.
It became clear last week that the Genoa defender was Ange Postecoglou‘s top target, and Spurs were quick to make their move to sign him.
However, right after they reached full agreement with Genoa for his transfer, Bayern Munich came in with an offer of their own and put the whole move in doubt.
Dragusin, in the end, rejected Bayern and picked Tottenham, and that has gone down well among Spurs fans. They are now really excited to see him play, and his strength is definitely his biggest asset.
In the gym at Hotspur Way yesterday when Tottenham’s players were training, Richarlison paired up with Dragusin to do some stretches using resistance bands.
In a video uploaded by Tottenham’s X handle (00:10), the Brazilian can be seen pulling the band to his side, but when Dragusin pulled it back towards him, the difference in strength was very evident.
You can see the look of shock on Richarlison’s face too – it seems like he was not expecting Dragusin to be so strong. Spurs fans on social media have slowed down the video, and the Brazilian’s reaction gets funnier every time you watch it.
Dragusin could make his Tottenham debut vs Manchester United
Tottenham take on Manchester United tomorrow in what is a big game for both sides.
Micky van de Ven has confirmed that he’s back, but Ange Postecoglou cast doubt on Cristian Romero’s availability in his press conference yesterday.
With Ben Davies also out injured, it won’t be a surprise at all to see Radu Dragusin get the nod in the heart of the defence alongside Van de Ven.
That would be a good first test for him if he starts, and it will be interesting to see how his strength will hold up against someone like Rasmus Hojlund.
