He Needs To Be Rewarded For That Act, Wolverhampton’s Player Showed Last “Loyalty” To His Club
Wolves man turned down ‘prestigious’ offers this summer – Show of faith for Gary O’Neil
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Rayan Aït-Nouri turned down ‘prestigious’ offers in order to remain at the club this summer.
That’s according to La Gazete du Fennec, who report that Aït-Nouri had interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
According to La Gazete, Aït-Nouri had interest from Europe’s biggest sides this summer but made the ‘crucial’ decision to remain at Wolves.
They state that Aït-Nouri ‘seems to have found his rhythm’ under Gary O’Neil since his arrival as Wolves manager last summer.
That’s seen him enjoy an impressive return to form, with O’Neil giving the defender ‘complete confidence’ which has inspired him to kick on and establish himself as the first choice left-back at the club.
His rise has reportedly been noticed by several ‘prestigious’ clubs in Europe, who all made ‘tempting’ offers to the player this summer.
However, Aït-Nouri decided to ignore those and continue his ‘adventure’ with Wolves, where he has been flourishing under O’Neil’s leadership.
Gazete believe that decision could prove to be ‘decisive’ for the rest of his career as he seeks to continue starring and perhaps become one of the best left-backs in Europe.
Whether that happens remains to be seen but it seems Aït-Nouri is convinced of the Wolves project and turned down big offers because of it.
