Nottingham forest New Kid with A Smart move on the Block
o, what has Walker had to say about Forest’s new kid on the block, Murillo? Let’s take a closer look…
What Des Walker said about Nottingham Forest star Murillo
Well, it would appear that the defender from yesteryear is a huge fan of the 21-year-old following his £11 million transfer from Corinthians.
Forest fought off competition from Manchester City to sign Murillo during the summer and he’s been ever-present since making his debut in October.
Walker was quizzed on the qualities that Forest star Murillo has and it would appear that he thinks the Forest defender is set for a bright future.
He told netsport Nottingham: “It is a remarkable start really, considering how young and inexperienced he is
“He doesn’t show his inexperience. He has settled in nicely and if you’re a defender first and foremost you have to look at how many goals we are conceding. That rate has to come down.
“But as an individual, he has settled really well. He is comfortable on the ball, quick and likes defending. He looks on the surface like he has a great career ahead of him.”
Forest should make significant profit on defender
At 21-years-old, the Reds would love to keep Murillo for a little while longer and if the Premier League status stays intact that should be achievable.
However, Murillo will leave Forest at some point and he’s got the skills to go to the very top.
No central defender in the Premier League has more successful dribbles this season and he loves to bring the ball out from the back.
Furthermore, Murillo has a wonderful left foot and his range of passing has also been impressive at Forest this season.
To get endorsed by Forest legend Walker is quite something for Murillo and he will hope to continue his development by playing more games
