Newcastle United is constantly on the lookout for the greatest young talent they can attract!

Dan Ashworth is in charge of both first team recruitment and recruitment for younger age groups;

Building for the future and the present is a very innovative Newcastle United philosophy that was completely absent for the first 15 years under Mike Ashley.

Young talent has been pouring into St James’ Park on a daily basis, but the club hasn’t always made formal announcements. Instead, different journalists and social media are frequently the best/only sources for information about what Newcastle United has been doing and their standout triumphs.

On Friday, two important Newcastle United acquisitions that I’m pretty sure the club still hadn’t confirmed themselves were actually formally confirmed by the FA.

These two young prospects are named as Newcastle United players in the FA’s most recent announcement of the England Under 17s squad (see below)!

Right-back Leo Shahar, who is 16 years old and is a highly anticipated talent, was signed by Newcastle United from Wolves.

Trevan Sanusi, a very promising attacking talent who is now a member of Newcastle United, is likewise 16 years old and hails from Birmingham. Liverpool was one of the clubs United battled against to sign him.

Newcastle set to announce signing of 'really exciting young attacking player' as he says goodbye - Chronicle Live

Take a look at this collection of Trevan Sanusi’s abilities and action, which was created eight months ago when he was just 15 years old (he won’t turn 17 until next April). Wow!!! (Perhaps lower the volume; you can’t have everything.)

Greg Lincoln has named his England men’s under-17 squad for next week’s double-header with Norway at St. George’s Park.

Last month the MU17s faced Portugal, Morocco and Spain as part of their preparations for the UEFA U17 EURO first qualifying round in November.

The Young Lions will now face Norway on Wednesday 11 October and on Friday 13 October at St. George’s Park.

New MU17s boss Lincoln is using the September and October international windows to prepare for their UEFA U17 EURO first qualifying round in November, when they play Croatia, Faroe Islands and Kosovo in Croatia.
