Kelly Piquet, Max Verstappen’s girlfriend, has hinted that their new kid will be a girl. Piquet is set to give birth to Verstappen’s first kid in the coming weeks, as the Red Bull star announced in December.
Verstappen and Piquet started dating about four and a half years ago, after the Brazilian model split from former Formula One star Daniil Kvyat.
Piquet and Kvyat share a daughter called Penelope, who was born in July 2019.
At the end of last year, Piquet revealed on Instagram that she was in her third trimester, which means she could give birth ahead of the new F1 season, which is due to get underway in mid-March.
And the 36-year-old returned to the social networking platform this week, posting a photo of herself shopping for baby clothes.
In the photo, she was paying particular attention to girls’ attire, which could indicate that her second child would also be a girl.

Verstappen won his fourth successive F1 world title last year, surpassing McLaren’s Lando Norris in the Drivers’ Championship standings.
Despite finishing 63 points ahead of his adversary, the Red Bull driver was unable to lead his team to the Constructors’ Championship championship, which was won by McLaren.
