‘Look at how calm he is’: Thierry Henry Verdict on spur player
Thierry Henry has claimed that the ‘evolution of Harry Kane’ has been ‘outstanding’ since he left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich last summer.
The legendary Frenchman is one of the greatest strikers the Premier League has ever seen. There’s nobody better to talk about number nines in today’s game, and Henry has raved about Kane now.
Thierry Henry says Harry Kane has evolved into an ‘outstanding’ player
Harry Kane was Tottenham’s best player throughout his time at the club.
The Englishman played 430 games for Spurs, scored 278 goals and provided 64 assists during his years in North London. That is an outrageous return, isn’t it?
Kane left Tottenham and joined Bayern Munich in the summer in order to win trophies. At the time, there were small concerns over how long he would need to adapt to the new league.
However, Kane has made the Bundesliga look easy by scoring 31 goals and providing eight assists for Bayern in just 32 appearances this season.
He has been incredible there, and Thierry Henry has raved about his ‘evolution’ since joining the German champions.
The Arsenal legend told Sky Sports: “The evolution of Harry Kane has been outstanding. This is why I want to mention that goals, at times, don’t assure you to win titles, but it doesn’t matter.
“Look at how calm he is. Everything that he does, is calm.”
While watching a few clips of Kane in Germany, Henry added: “I know in that game I think the team was playing with nine, but it doesn’t matter. He’s composed. You can name any goal, this guy can score any goal, any pass, coming into midfield and play.”
Harry Kane could end another season without a trophy
Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, but he has zero trophies to show for it.
The Englishman won absolutely nothing during his time at Tottenham. He decided to move to Bayern to change that, but it looks like the grass isn’t greener on the other side either.
Bayern are 10 points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen and there are only 10 games left to be played. The German champions have been awful this season, and there is no hope they will go all the way in the Champions League either.
The chances of Kane going another season without any silverware look very, very likely at this stage.
