Leicester City transfer news: Thomas Kristensen update, £12m target

Published

on

Another day has dawned and the eighth day of the transfer window is here for Leicester City.

It’s been a slow window so far for the Foxes, who are yet to buy or sell anyone

Ruud van Nistelrooy hinted Leicester can improve everywhere across the pitch and given the lack of finances, bargain deals may have to be looked out.

Leicester could look at out of contract players for the summer and have even been linked with Kyle Walker-Peters, who could be available to the Foxes at the end of the season.

Despite the frustrations so far, the East Midlands outfit are still working hard behind the scenes to get signatures over the line and could even fend off interest from fellow Premier League clubs to get the targets they want

With that, here is the latest Leicester transfer news as we prepare for another busy day.

Leicester leading race to sign Thomas Kristensen

Thomas Kristensen is reportedly wanted by Leicester as they look to try and sign a centre-back to address the ongoing issue of conceding too many goals.

Kristensen is 6’6 and would pose a threat from an attacking point, as well as being a man mountain defensively

Reports have claimed that the £13m star is wanted by Tottenham Hotspur but the Foxes are ahead in the race to get the Denmark Under-21 international’s signature

Reports in December claimed that Leuven midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi could join Leicester for a fee of £12m.

Leuven have a close relationship to Leicester as they share the same owners as the Foxes but Dutch media have revealed that Banzuzi is set to make the move to Ligue 1 to join Monaco.

Other English clubs were also said to be interested in the youngster but France appears to be the likely destination

Haji Wright could be open to Premier League move amid Leicester links

Haji Wright has impressed for Coventry City for this season and has subsequently caught the eye of Premier League sides.

Leicester are one of those and would allegedly need to pay in the region of £20m to land the USA international’s signature.

Wright has also admitted that he would be open to making the step up from the Championship and there would be no better place to do so than the King Power Stadium.

Sheffield United want loan deal for Hamza Choudhury

Sheffield United have taken plenty of interest in Leicester players throughout the course of this season and that hasn’t changed.

Harry Souttar was on loan at the Blades until a season-ending injury cut his loan short.

Chris Wilder now wants to bring another Fox to Bramall Lane this winter and is allegedly looking at Hamza Choudhury.

Choudhury has already been linked to Sheffield United but despite talks of a permanent deal, the latest news states that a loan deal could be the preferred option
