Leicester City preparing fresh £26m transfer bid for Serie A star

Leicester City have returned with an improved offer for a young winger that they are interested in bringing to the King Power.

Steve Cooper is looking to get his transfer dealings done early ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

He has already managed to bring in the likes of Michael Golding, Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Caleb Okoli this summer, softening the blow of losing former midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who showed his desire to join back up with former Foxes manager Enzo Maresca at Chelsea.

Star midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is also set to commit his future to the club ahead of the new campaign, giving them even more options in the centre-of-the-park with Premier League experience.

However, Cooper’s priority at this moment is the ongoing pursuit of a winger, who Leicester City are set to go back in for with a second bid.

Leicester City prepare second bid for Argentinian Matias Soule

Leicester City have reportedly sent a revised bid of £26m for Matias Soule, per Sportmediaset.

Juventus’ valuation is set at £30m for the Argentinian winger, however Leicester City are confident they can ‘snatch’ the player from the Italian giants with their revised £26m (£22m+£4m in add-ons) offer for the 21-year-old.

Juventus boss Thiago Motta reportedly wants to keep the winger ahead of the Serie A 2024/25 campaign, however a fee up to their desired £30m could see the winger on his way to the King Power.

The young winger spent last season on loan at Frosinone, where he finished as the club’s top scorer with 12 goals.

Soule can be utilised on the right wing, as well as through the middle of the park.

Leicester City’s ongoing pursuit for Matias Soule shows the ambition of Steve Cooper

Cooper is relentlessly going for his target Soule, who he has identified to be a necessary goal threat that can play across the entire front line.

His athleticism and ability to test the goalkeeper from distance by cutting onto his powerful left foot from the right wing, and clear as day goalscoring pedigree will make the Argentinian a key player at the King Power.

Although Cooper’s transfer history at Nottingham Forest with foreign players wasn’t the most successful, he has done incredibly well to target Soule, and for an affordable price when compared to English players of a similar quality.

Providing that Cooper is able to get the best out of the Argentinian, as well as giving him the necessary game time to let him flourish in the Premier League, Leicester City could have a real gem on their hands in the form of Soule.
