Leicester city Agreement To Sign Their Seventh Player Has Reach Turkey International
The latest Leicester City transfer news as reports in Turkey suggest that an agreement has been reached for the Turkey international
Leicester City are reported to be closing in on their seventh signing of the summer transfer window, with Yunus Akgun emerging as a reported target
Reports in Turkey suggest that a deal has been agreed between City and Galatasaray for the winger, with him signing on loan with an obligation to buy. It is said that the player himself has also agreed a five-year deal with the club
Should a deal be completed, he would become the seventh new player added to Enzo Marescas’s squad since the end of last season. Harry Winks, Conor Coady, Callum Doyle, Mads Hermansen, Stephy Mavididi and Cesare Casadei have all arrived at the King Power Stadium this summer.
Akgun is 23-year-old and currently plays for Turkish side Galatasaray. He has come up through the youth teams of the club, making his debut in 2018, and has three years remaining on his current contract.
He has made a total of 60 first team appearances for Galatasaray, scoring six goals and providing seven assists. Akgun also has five senior caps for Turkey, scoring once
Akgun made 25 Super Lig appearances for Galatasaray last season, scoring once and providing four assists. He was a regular started for the first few months of the season, but injury saw him lose his place in the starting line-up, he was however often used as a substitute.
It was the 2021/22 season where he caught the eye. He spent the season on loan with fellow Super Lig side Adana Demirspor, scoring nine goals and registering 17 assists in 39 games in all competitions.
