Leed United Shocked former Sunderland striker with A Good News

Don Goodman, a pundit from Leeds, claims he’d be surprised if Leeds United weren’t in the top two by the season’s finish.

Don Goodman, a Sky Sports analyst and former Sunderland striker, thinks Leeds United’s striking trio is too good for the Championship. At Elland Road, the Whites dominated Watford in a decisive performance to advance in the Championship play-off race. Georginio Rutter and Joel Piroe shone.

Sam Byram, Piroe, and replacement Jaidon Anthony scored for Daniel Farke’s team to give them their second victory in three games and extend their unbeaten streak to six games. Goodman expressed his admiration for Leeds and that he would be surprised.

“I’m glad that Georginio Rutter has found his feet and found his confidence, throw into the mix (Wilfried) Gnonto and more behind that as well, their options are brilliant. Look, it was a really, really unsettled pre-season with all the comings and goings, contract clauses, and who was going to be there when the transfer window shut.

“Very, very difficult for Daniel Farke, and he kept his counsel. I was really impressed with the way he handled himself, and he backed himself knowing that it was only a matter of time before everything started to click into gear.

“When you look at it now, you see a team that, like Leicester, you’d be genuinely surprised if they weren’t in the mix for the top two, and at the at least, the top six. I’m really happy to see things have calmed down because I’m a Leeds kid.
