The Los Angeles Lakers have been dealing with all sorts of injuries this season, seeing multiple players be in and out of the lineup. It has hurt the team in the standings, but there is some hope for a few of their currently hurt players. According to Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, Los Angeles could be getting back a big piece to the puzzle against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Forward Cam Reddish practiced on Wednesday and is expected to be available to play against Philadelphia. Darvin Ham said Cam Reddish practiced today and the team expects him to be available Friday against the Sixers. — Dave McMenamin (@mcten) March 20, 2024 Reddish has only appeared in 40 games for Los Angeles this season but has made his presence known. On the year, he is averaging 6.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Getting Reddish back with only a handful of games left on the schedule is key for the Lakers. His defensive abilities alone will be massive, especially in this game against the 76ers. Reddish can be put on guard Tyrese Maxey in the game, helping to limit his offensive chances. The 76ers will be without All-Star center Joel Embiid, so Maxey will be the point of focus in the matchup. While Reddish hasn’t been the greatest offensive producer this year, he has shown an ability to knock down three-point shots at different times. He is shooting 34.3% from deep and will give Los Angeles another weapon to use. Every game matters at this point in the season, with the Lakers fighting for their postseason lives. Having Reddish available against the 76ers will be a big addition to the lineup, and hopefully, it pans out with the team grabbing another win.
