JUST IN: Leicester Has Completed Another Top Signing For The Season

Published

There are no concrete breaking news regarding the outcome of the contract talks of Wilfred Ndidi and Abdul Fatawu. Both players are said to be near some sort of conclusion to the situation, but still we are waiting for those two very vital decisions to be made.

The two players had a clear influence on the promotion last season, and of course getting them over the line on long term contracts will give Steve Cooper more quality and power in the camp.

Abdul Fatawu is said to have been seen in Leicester in early July, but not yet part of any pre-season training, due to his involvement at international level with Ghana in June. He has earlier been confirmed by reliable sources Rob Tanner and John Percy as a done deal, and also part of the current squad list, no longer including Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
One indication about everything dragging out, could be about the work permit, being a player outside Europe and with a long term deal, having to be running on other terms than his previous loan agreement. This is one massive signing for Leicester and of course getting that move of Abdul Fatawu confirmed will be fantastic.

The situation regarding Wilfred Ndidi is a bit different and a long discussion on his future has been there for the last couple of seasons. The Nigerian international joined Leicester back in January 2017, and so far played 224 league games for the club, to see him looking for some sort of change, would not be a big surprise.

Leicester are waiting for an answer from the player, with him still also included in the squad list. Recent reports from his home country Nigeria, as well as seeing foreign clubs not able to reach his wage demands, makes us all positive that he will sign a new agreement with Leicester, possibly beeing a three year deal.
