Jannik Sinner sets to End Coaching Partnership with Darren Cahill, Speaks about possible replacement
Jannik Sinner is doing his best to manage the three-month ban he received as a result of the WADA deal with the help of his family and teammates. The world number one, who has not played an official match since the 2025 Australian Open final, remains the ATP Race leader and is training hard these days to be in top form when he returns to action in May.
The Italian ace’s first tournament after the ban ends will be the Rome Masters 1000, where he will have a chance to play in front of his home fans and will surely be greeted like a king. FITP President Angelo Binaghi has already announced his intention to dedicate a personalized suite to Jannik so that he can have an exclusive space during the tournament in which to concentrate before matches.
In addition, the 3-time Grand Slam champion has also decided to register for the Hamburg ATP to play as many matches as possible before Roland Garros.
Having won the first Major of the 2025 season at Melbourne Park, Sinner has a chance to complete the ‘Calendar Grand Slam’ this year and it would be a truly titanic feat that has not been achieved by anyone since Rod Laver.
Sinner is practicing in Monte Carlo
Meanwhile, the 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria is practicing hard at the Beausoleil club in Monte Carlo, alternating between athletic and on-court workouts.
The Italian had practiced often at this club in 2022, after deciding to leave Riccardo Piatti to start a new partnership with Simone Vagnozzi.
The new team-which was joined by legendary Australian coach Darren Cahill-was instrumental in enabling Jannik to reach his full potential and become the best player in the world.
According to the latest rumours, his association with Cahill could terminate before the end of the season. Darren has stated his decision to retire, and Sinner has reportedly identified a replacement.
