Jannik Sinner will be able to return to the professional tour in approximately a month, where he will be greeted like a king by his supporters at the Rome Masters 1000. The world number one, who has not played since winning the Australian Open at the end of January, has agreed to a three-month ban with WADA and has accepted that he must stay away from the sport he loves in order to avoid a trial before the CAS in Lausanne.

Despite this suspension, his top opponents such as Alexander Zverev and Carlos Alcaraz have not achieved brilliant results so far and the Italian ace is practically certain to remain at the top of the ATP rankings until his return in May.

In particular, the 3-time Grand Slam champion was able to do numerous specific jobs in Monte Carlo together with his fitness coach Marco Panichi.

Darren Cahill is on his way to the Principality, where Jannik will soon resume tennis practice in preparation for the Rome Masters 1000. Sinner has also decided to play the Hamburg tournament before Roland Garros in order to be fully prepared for the season’s second Major.

The 23-year-old Italian confirmed that he will return to compete in Rome: “Every day I feel better, even if the date of my return is not so close yet. See you in Rome.”
