“Jalen Brunson Poised for a Repeat Performance as Knicks’ Scoring Catalyst”
Jalen Brunson had a fantastic year for the New York Knicks this past season, and he will be looking to build on that this year. In a recent article by Bleacher Report’s Grant Hughes, he predicts who every NBA team’s top scorer will be this season. For the Knicks, he goes with Brunson, who is the obvious choice.
With Julius Randle healthy, newcomer Mikal Bridges in the fold and OG Anunoby primed for a full season, New York has more than enough supporting talent to let Brunson cook at normal temperatures,” Hughes writes. “It’s still nice to know he can turn the dial to “inferno” when necessary.” The Knicks will have a number of other guys that could take some of the scoring load off of Brunson this season, but the star point guard will still be the focal point of the team’s offense.

While his points average may go down a bit as a result of Randle and Bridges’ scoring, he won’t have to score 29 a game to lead the team. If Brunson can come even close to the points per game average that he had last season, he could put the Knicks into a great position to contend with the likes of the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference
