‘Here we go’… Fabrizio Romano shares Matias Soule update amid Leicester, West Ham, Aston Villa and Newcastle links

Leicester City, West Ham United, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are just four of the clubs that have been linked with Matias Soule in recent weeks.

The Foxes, the Hammers, the Villans and the Magpies all have scope to strengthen their ranks ahead of a big season for each club.

Leicester will be fighting for Premier League survival, West Ham and Newcastle will want to get back in Europe, and Villa will want to impress in the Champions League.

All four have been linked with Soule, a player who made a real name for himself on loan at Frosinone last season. Juventus are looking to sell him, sparking a transfer frenzy.

Indeed, a report from earlier this week claimed West Ham were ready to match Roma’s bid for the Juve ace.

However, it seems as though their interest came too late, with Soule now set to disappoint each of his Premier League suitors.

Matias Soule snubs Premier League suitors as Roma move looms

Fabrizio Romano has declared “here we go” on Soule to Roma, who have struck a deal with Juve worth €30million (£25million).

The deal will see around £22million paid up front plus around £3million in both “easy add-ons” and “difficult add-ons”, plus a 10 percent sell-on clause for Juve.

Soule will pen a five-year contract in the Italian capital, added Romano.

Missed opportunity for Premier League clubs to sign Soule for modest fee

And so it looks like, barring any huge late twists, the Matias Soule transfer saga is over.

At just 21 years of age, he has his whole career ahead of him, and he certainly looks like a top talent.

However, for the time being, Soule will continue to ply his trade in Serie A.

If he goes from strength to strength, there’s a good chance Premier League clubs will come circling again.

However, in that case, they would probably be looking at paying much more than £25million.
