Tottenham Hotspur suffer setback against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Well, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Joao Gomes put Wolves in the lead in the 42nd minute when he was left unmarked eight yards out and rose to powerfully head home Pablo Sarabia’s right-wing corner.

Spurs restored parity in the opening minute of the second half. Wolves failed to clear a Spurs throw-in, and Sweden international forward Dejan Kulusevski ran past Craig Dawson and put the ball through Jose Sa’s legs.

However, Wolves had the last laugh in the Premier League game. Gomes found the back of the net in the 63rd minute. Pedro Neto, who is on the radar of Arsenal, provided the assist.

Guglielmo Vicario reacts

As you can see below, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has reacted to the defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Italian goalkeeper has said on Instagram that Spurs, who want to sign Raphinha from Barcelona, need to bounce back and have work to do.

Vicario is clearly not letting the setback against Wolves affect his morale and is as determined as ever to win matches again.

I do not think that Tottenham are going to challenge for the Premier League title this season, but the North London club are very much in the running for the top four.

Spurs are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 47 points from 25 matches. Tottenham are two points behind Aston Villa, who are fourth now.
