Former NFL Executive Reveals Shocking Details About Tua Tagovailoa’s Massive New Contract!

Tua Tagovailoa #1 of the Miami Dolphins looks to pass against the Buffalo Bills during the first quarter at Highmark Stadium on December 17, 2022 in Orchard Park, New York.Despite losing in the Wild Card round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs to the Kansas City Chiefs, the Miami Dolphins are still widely considered to be a Super Bowl contender heading into the 2024 NFL season.

Under head coach Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins have one of the most electric and creative offenses in the league and that will keep them in games against any opponent.

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are the fastest wide receiver duo in the league, but the backfield also has Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane to carve up opposing defenses.

The team also added weapons like Odell Beckham Jr. in free agency, making them even more deadly in the passing game.

Tua Tagovailoa turned in the best year of his career during the 2023 NFL season and is now in line to receive a massive extension.

Former NFL general manager Rick Spielman believes that with the rising cap and the other quarterback contracts handed out Tagovailoa will earn in excess of $50 million a year on his new deal via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“But as all these contracts come in, and they continue to go up every year, that Tua’s going to get paid nearly $55 million,” Spielman said.

The number seems like a lot on first glance, but the NFL’s rising salary cap makes it more digestible.

Trevor Lawrence received a deal from the Jacksonville Jaguars in that ballpark, so Tagovailoa should get something similar done in the next few months or so.

Tagovailoa has proven doubters wrong after a shaky start to his NFL career, but it’ll be interesting to see how much better he can get.
