FINALLY REVEALED! Carlos Alcaraz Shuts Down Novak Djokovic’s PTPA Lawsuit, “Gives Reasons Why He Did Not Support It,” So Terrible!

A couple of days ago, the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) launched a historic legal battle against the sport’s governing bodies – ATP, WTA, ITF and ITIA. The lawsuit accused them of ignoring player welfare and prepared a plan to fix tennis.

They included a quote from Carlos Alcaraz’s press conference last year when he criticized the tennis schedule, and world no. 3 did not like it at all! Asked about the PTPA action, Alcaraz clarified things ahead of the Miami Open. 

The 21-year-old could not support the PTPA letter for a simple reason, explaining he did not know anything about the action or his quote used in this process. That’s why PTPA will not get Alcaraz’s support!

For too long, players have been stifled by governing bodies’ “global conspiracy that rigs the entire professional tennis ecosystem.”

Carlos will focus on tennis instead, seeking his first Miami Open title since 2022. The Spaniard fell in the Indian Wells semi-final to Jack Draper, ending his winning streak in the desert on 16 victories. Alcaraz will face David Goffin in the second round in Miami. 

PTPA released a statement two days ago, accusing the governing bodies of corruption, monopolistic control and the systemic exploitation of players. The lawsuits were filed in the U.S., EU and UK.

The goal is to expose long-standing anti-competitive practices that suppress player earnings, jeopardize their health and restrict their career opportunities. Unlike Alcaraz, Nick Kyrgios has full supported Novak Djokovic’s organization, often criticizing many aspects of professional tennis.

“Honestly, the PTPA letter completely surprised me. No one had told me anything about this. Yesterday, I saw some statements through social media. They included something I said in a press conference in their complaint, and I was not informed about that.

I do not support the letter simply because I knew nothing about it. I agree with some things, and I’m against some others. In short, I do not support what they did,” Carlos Alcaraz said.
