Chicago Bears
Fans say Justin Fields stopped following Bears on Instagram
With Bears fans hanging on edge over the team’s quarterback decision, the slightest movement, comment or word seems to set off everyone.
It happened earlier when the Bears had Justin Fields’ photo on an ad for their coming 2024 game in London. It was interpreted as a “sign” that Fields would return as their quarterback.
On Monday it happened again when it was noticed Fields no longer was following the Chicago Bears on Instagram.
There was no real positive confirmation he actually ever was following them. Fields’ still has photos on his Instagram account with his Bears uniform on, and that’s often the first thing that goes when a player has some sort of beef with his currrent team. Former Bears receiver Allen Robinson pulled team photos he had off his social media when he had a negotiation standoff with the team, for instance.
Nevertheless, the result was a flood of comments about this as a sign the Bears had told Fields or someone affiliated with him that he is being traded to another team.
A similar situation happened on the same day when Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported teams sought out the Bears in Mobile, Ala. at the Senior Bowl in regards to Fields.
