Falcons Ownership in question as four others join the NFL team.
The Atlanta Falcons have announced that TV and film producer Will Packer, Olympic gold medalist Dominique Dawes, businesswoman Rosalind Brewer, and venture capitalist Rashaun Williams have joined their ownership group as limited partners.
These individuals were thoroughly vetted by the Falcons, the NFL, and the NFL’s Finance Committee before being approved for a full vote by the NFL’s 32 owners during a meeting on May 21 in Nashville.
Dominique Dawes, who won America’s first Team Gold Medal in gymnastics and became the first African-American to win Gold in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, expressed her enthusiasm for the role.
“Winning in 1996 has given me the greatest platform to inspire others,” Dawes said. “The opportunity provided by [Falcons owner Arthur Blank] enables me to further impact the Atlanta community, which I hold dear. I hope my platform as a limited partner will have a broad impact throughout the NFL and beyond.”
Rosalind Brewer, a Detroit native and the first woman to serve as CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance, group president and COO of Starbucks, and CEO of Sam’s Club, also serves as associate director on the board of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
She praised Arthur Blank’s values and impact on Atlanta, stating, “I look forward to championing the Falcons’ successes and Atlanta’s spirit as we strive to make a genuine difference on and off the field.”
Will Packer, the Emmy-nominated producer of “Girls Trip” and board member of the Atlanta Hawks Foundation, highlighted the significance of representation and equity.
“Arthur Blank’s commitment to opening doors for African Americans is profound,” Packer said. “This investment represents a personal opportunity and a chance to show future generations that people who look like me can excel at the highest levels of NFL ownership.”
These new limited partners bring diverse backgrounds and expertise, strengthening the Falcons’ ownership group and underscoring the franchise’s commitment to community impact and diversity.
