“Expeditiously Move of a Young STAR” Behind The Scene ‘What he Really wanted’

Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed André Trindade from Fluminense on deadline day of the summer window.

A day later, the Brazil international came off the bench to make his debut for Wolves in their 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.

The midfielder has been selected for the Brazil squad for the ongoing international break. This gave the local media an opportunity to have a chat with him and his quotes are relayed by PL Brasil.

The transfer window in the UK closed on Friday, August 30th. The 23-year-old has given an insight into the ‘madness’ of how his late move to Wolves took shape.

“It was pretty quick. The transfer came through on Wednesday. I travelled to England on Thursday and had my tests on Friday. Then I was called up for the game against Nottingham. On Saturday, I came on and made my debut for my new club. Then I flew back to Brazil to report to the national team,” he said.

The Brazilian club had promised to let the player move to Europe, after refusing to let him leave in the summer of 2023. PL Brasil claim the player had ‘anxiety in the final moments’ and is now pleased that Fluminense kept their word.

“The relationship has always been clear between my manager, me and the board. We made an agreement. Last year, it was to focus on the Libertadores. And this year I would leave regardless of the offer that came in,” André explained.

“I’m fulfilling a dream of playing in the Premier League and the Fluminense board have kept their word.”

André’s teammate at Wolves and the national team, João Gomes, and Newcastle United star Bruno Guimarães are helping him settle in quickly in England.

“In particular, Bruno and João are two mates who help me a lot. Bruninho because he’s worked with Diniz before, even when he’s been called up, he talked a lot, and João now gives me all the support he can with information about the new club,” he added.
