Erik ten Hag’s New Plan for Manchester United’s Young Player

Hannibal Mejbri, a young player for Manchester United, made his second start in the Premier League in a game against Burnley. He ran 12.9 kilometers during the match, which was the most any United player had run since 2019. This impressive effort got him another start in a game against Crystal Palace, where United won 3-0.

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United’s coach, praised Hannibal in a press conference. Ten Hag said Hannibal set a good example for the team, especially against teams that keep the ball a lot. He mentioned that Hannibal had been improving since before Ten Hag joined United and deserved his chance to play.

Hannibal became a role model for his teammates. He was expected to start again in a league game against Crystal Palace, but he was on the bench instead. Later, he started in a Champions League match against Galatasaray but was replaced at half-time.

Since then, Hannibal has only started one game out of eight, playing against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. United had signed him in 2019, fighting off interest from other big clubs. It’s been a tough journey for him to get regular chances to play.

Despite this, sources say Hannibal is always positive and works hard, often staying late for extra gym sessions. There was a lot of interest in him for loans or transfers, but United decided to keep him after a good loan spell at Birmingham.

Hannibal is committed and keeps trying to earn his place in the team. It’s still uncertain if he’ll become a regular starter. He will turn 21 soon and is still working on improving his game. It will be interesting to see how he does in the second half of the season.
