Tottenham winger Bryan Gil has reportedly requested that the club arrange a permanent buy option if he leaves on another loan deal this month. The Spaniard has already spent two temporary spells away from north London since signing in 2021, and he has so far proven unable to work his way into Ange Postecoglou’s starting XI.
Prospects of a regular spot in the side took another blow last week when Spurs announced the signing of Timo Werner. The German’s arrival will make minutes out wide even more competitive, and his impressive debut against Manchester United on Sunday could see him given further chances to impress over the coming weeks.
Werner assisted Rodrigo Bentancur in a 2-2 draw on his debut, with Gil unable to turn the tide in Tottenham’s favour after coming on for the last 10 minutes. The 22-year-old has only started two Premier League games all season.
There is plenty of interest from abroad with Real Sociedad, Sevilla, Feyenoord and Fiorentina all rumoured to be keeping track of Gil’s situation.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the wide-man has made it crystal clear to the club and chairman Daniel Levy that he does not want to be part of another dry loan deal.
