Darren Fletcher was astounded by Nottingham “fantastic” 25 years old

TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher has raved about Nottingham Forest midfielder Nicolas Dominguez.

The pundit was speaking with the Forest Focus podcast.

So, what has Fletcher said about Forest midfielder Dominguez? Let’s take a closer look…

What Darren Fletcher has said about Forest star Nicolas Dominguez

Well, it’s been an intriguing few months for Dominguez who has been forced to fight for his place in the team back.

Under Steve Cooper, he had fallen down the pecking order somewhat but Nuno Espirito Santo has offered him a chance to prove himself.

Of late, with Anthony Elanga out injured, he’s performed a duty on the flanks and he’s proving an important player.

Fletcher believes that Dominguez was brilliant in the 1-1 draw against Bournemouth and gave him some praise.

He told the Forest Focus podcast: “I thought Dominguez was fantastic against Bournemouth in the role that he was given to do. I think we’re quite lucky that he can play everywhere pretty much if we think about it.

“He can play wide, he can play as a the six and he can play as the eight. He’s a very interchangeable part and he’s a very good midfielder in general.”

Dominguez proving value for money

Not every single signing which Forest make in the transfer window will come to fruition – but Dominguez looks like money well spent.

In our view, £8.5 million is hardly a lot in the grand scheme of things and Forest should be lauded for landing on Dominguez.

The 11-cap Argentina player isn’t without his faults but essentially he’s still learning when it comes to the Premier League.

Dominguez was in decent form on Sunday – although a yellow card means that he is suspended for tonight’s game against Bristol City in the FA Cup.

The exciting thing is that there is even more to come from a player who is only 25 and that indicates a good piece of business from a Forest perspective.
