Daniel Farke has named the four options he has in the no.10 role at Leeds United after the club saw bids rejected for Celtic star Matt O’Riley towards the end of the summer window – including, Mateo Joseph.

Farke was asked about the attacking midfield role after Leeds failed to bring in a no.10 in the final days of the window. Leeds did make a deadline-day signing, Jaidon Anthony – Luis Sinisterra the other way.
As per netsport.uk , Leeds saw a £10 million offer for O’Riley turned down by Celtic. Little surprise that Leeds were interested – given his form for Celtic, having had a hand in 28 goals during 77 Celtic games.
Indeed, on Sunday, O’Riley got the all-important assist for Kyogo Furuhashi’s winner in the first Old Firm derby of the season – Celtic winning at Ibrox. So, Leeds missed out on a gem – but Farke is confident.
He says he still has four options. Perhaps forgetting to name Joe Gelhardt, Farke named Joel Piroe, Cree Summerville, Joseph and Ian Poveda – the latter as an “emergency” option. Depth then, in Farke’s eyes.
“We play with two behind one striker. Today, Summerville and Piroe. Poveda an emergency case. Joseph not a natural 10, but may do a job. We have creative players to do what needs to be done in that role.”

Gelhardt is also an option – with the attacker remaining at Leeds after links with the likes of Ipswich in the final few hours of the window, as per The Mirror’s Darren Witcoop. Summerville is surely first choice.
Then, Gelhardt and Piroe can play in that role. It will be interesting to see, with the additions of Piroe and Jaidon Anthony, how much game time will be afforded to Poveda and Joseph. But, they are in his plans.
