Well, it would appear that this topic is one that is firmly dividing opinion this week.

After Paul Tierney applied the law wrong and Forest conceded a goal in the ninth minute of stoppage time, Marinakis headed down to pitchside.

Antonio was quizzed on the incident on his podcast this week – and it’s fair to say that he doesn’t really have an issue with it.

He told the Footballer’s Football Podcast: “I rate the owner for coming onto the pitch. I rate him!”

It was a short and sweet response and one that was pretty refreshing given that lots of pundits have slammed it.

The owner was merely in the vicinity as the Forest coaching staff were trying to get some answers from Tierney.

Marinakis is passionate and he’s good for Forest

The ambitious owner is fine to do what he did on Saturday but he must not overstep the mark with the match officials.

Recently there have been some really unsavoury incidents of referees being assaulted in Turkey and that can’t happen.

Marinakis didn’t overstep on Saturday though and he was probably just trying to get some answers from the hapless Tierney.

Forest had worked tirelessly to get themselves a point from the game with Liverpool but were robbed at the death.

Antonio has a point that there is a lot to like about what Marinakis did and it merely shows how passionate he is about Forest doing well.
